When I become a coach I plan on coaching athletes who are interested in swimming, I am open to coaching all levels and ages but I would prefer high school or collegiate level athletes. I want to instill the core values of integrity, accountability, honesty, leadership, and respect. All of these core values will not only help create a positive outlook and performance from my athletes but these core values will also follow them into their personal lives as well, my athletes will understand what is right, they will know when to take action and speak up for their mistakes and achievements, they will understand the importance of being truthful in every aspect of life, they will know how to treat others, and they will move forward in life as leaders; all of the core values I plan on instilling in my coaching philosophy will not only help my athletes become better swimmers but it will also encourage them to become even better human beings. My goal for my coaching philosophy is to ensure that my athletes have a great enjoyable experience during our times training together more than anything. I plan on creating a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for my athletes-training and workouts will focus on individual effort and target specific techniques but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun becoming faster and stronger. I also want my athletes to understand that I am their coach in and out of the pool and know that I am here for them for whatever they need. I will ensure to build trust and cohesion with my athletes through coach and athlete bonding activities done in the beginning of each season and have check-ins with them during each season, I want my athletes to know they are as important to their success as I am to coaching them and always there when they need me.
The outcomes I plan on executing each season will change from the off season to preseason to competition season, each season will continue to increase in intensity and focus on more technique specific training through well thought out and planned training and workouts.
